May 12th 2007:
Silverstone Stowe CRCC Race Meeting.
After qualifying
in 7th place for race 1 and 1st in class at
Silverstone's Stowe circuit, the rain started to
fall for race 1 of the day. James made an
excellent start for P7 and was in P3 by the
first corner. After the ensuing melee with Tiger
R6's and Caterham's James fell back to P5. On
the very wet circuit James worked his way up to
P2 though a number of over taking manoeuvres and
drag racing cars down the long straights of
stowe circuit worked his way up to P2 by the end
of race securing TSG first overall podium also
the CRCC Class C Win.
For race 2 James
started on the front row of the grid in P2 the
teams first front row starting position. Once
again the rain was falling and James made a
decent start but dropped to P3 by the first
corner. Into the 1st corner on lap 3 James 1st
position overall in the race and and from
then went on to take an excellent overall 1st
win for himself and team as well as again taking
1st in class honours. James won the race by
almost 17 seconds from the Tiger R6 in P2.
For race 3 James
started on the pole position his and the teams
1st. After selecting the wrong tyres and
believing it was going to rain again and opted
to wet weather tyres. This turned out to be a
fatal mistake as the track was dry and weather
throughout the race remained dry. In the race
James dropped to 4th and and on the start finish
straight of the last lap was relegated to P5 by
a Tiger R6. James again took the Class C win. |
